Advertise on calcd

calcd is a set of free UK money calculators. People arrive part way through a decision, working out what a mortgage costs, what they keep after tax, or what they owe on a sale. If you sell to those people, you can put your brand on the page where they get their number.

What calcd is

23 calculators built for UK rules, each on its own page, plus 48 supporting guides. No signup, no paywall, nothing to install. The figures come from gov.uk and HMRC and are checked against the tax year, which you can read about on the how we check the figures page.

Who is on the page

Someone with a specific question about their own money and a figure in mind. They are not browsing. They have opened a calculator, typed in real numbers, and are about to act on the answer: make an offer, take a job, pay off a card, file a return. That is the whole pitch. It is a small audience today and an attentive one, and you reach it at the moment the decision is being made rather than weeks before.

Where your ad goes

Every calculator page carries two fixed positions. The space is already built into the layout, so a placement drops in without the page shifting around it and without slowing anything down.

  1. Beside the result

In the results column, under the answer. This column is sticky, so it stays in view while someone changes their figures and re-reads the number. Column width · 250px tall

  2. Inside the guide

Within the article below the tool, between the explainer and the questions. The deepest position on the page and the longest dwell time. Full width · 280px tall

You can take one position across the calculators, or a single calculator on its own if one part of the site fits you better than the rest.

What we accept

One still image or a line of text, served by us from our own domain. No third-party ad scripts and no tracking pixels. calcd sets no cookies of its own either, so the site carries no consent banner at all: your placement is seen by everyone who opens the page, not the share of them who get past a cookie bar first. It also means the page stays quick, which is the other reason people leave before an ad has loaded.

  • Every placement is labelled as advertising and sits clearly apart from the calculator and the guide.
  • Nothing pops up, floats, expands, follows the reader down the page or plays on its own.
  • We will not run a placement that reads as our own recommendation, or that we would not be comfortable showing someone working out whether they can afford something.
  • If you are an FCA-regulated firm, we will ask you to confirm your creative is a compliant financial promotion before it goes live.

How you measure it

Send us the destination URL with your own tracking already on the end of it, UTM parameters or whatever your analytics reads, and we serve the link exactly as you wrote it. Clicks land in your own reporting as traffic from calcd, sat next to every other source you run, and what happens after the click is counted on your side where the sale actually is.

Because we serve the creative ourselves rather than handing the space to a network, we count it ourselves too. You get impressions and clicks for the booking, split by calculator, so you can see which pages carried you and pick better next time. Our click count and the sessions your own tracking records should broadly agree, which means you never have to take our number on trust.

What we cannot give you is anything about the person who clicked. There is no cookie and no pixel, so there is no view-through attribution and no audience to retarget later. You get a click with your own tracking on it, and your analytics takes it from there.

Where we are, honestly

calcd is early. The calculators are built, indexed and complete, and the audience is still being built behind them. We are not going to dress that up with a number, because you would find it out in one question and we would rather you heard it from us.

So the first placements go at a founding rate, held for the length of the booking, on the understanding that you are buying the position before it is worth what it will be worth. If you would rather wait and see the figures first, say so and we will come back to you when there is something solid to show.
